Slack: how to use it in corporate
I shared in a previous blog entry, how we use Slack in corporate. If interested, you can click here to read that blog
For the most part in my company, we use it as an internal communication tool, but as we saw this week it can also be used to create classroom experiences.
In my company, slack has become an essential tool for our
virtual trainings. At the beginning of this year, we launch a new problem-solving
training that required participants to interact on Slack, as well as attending
the Zoom sessions. For this training we use slack as a way for participants to
get to know each other by sharing fun facts about them. Once the program
kicked-off we made sure to post on slack all the reminders and pre-work they
needed to complete before each session. To guarantee the success of slack, we
made sure to share from the beginning that relevant information related to the
program will be shared on slack only. The few times we used email; we will link
the slack channel on the email to make sure they understood they needed to
check it on the regular basis.
The pilot of this program went very well, and people
actually enjoyed using slack as the main source of communication.
